Hands-On CLASS A CDL Training- WE COME TO YOU!
A Class A CDL allows qualified drivers to operate combination vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more when the towed vehicle has a GVWR over 10,000 pounds, subject to applicable endorsements and restrictions.
Class A training can apply to vehicles such as tractor-trailers and certain heavy truck-and-trailer combinations, including equipment commonly operated by contractors, public works departments, utilities, and local governments.
Students complete the required Entry-Level Driver Training theory online, allowing them to work through the coursework around their schedule.
We provide detailed instruction on the CDL pre-trip inspection. Rather than simply giving students something to memorize, we work to help them understand the vehicle, what they're inspecting, and how to properly demonstrate the inspection during the CDL test.
This is where the hands-on training begins. We come to you and work directly with the student on the vehicle-control skills required for the CDL skills test.
Training includes the applicable Virginia CDL Modernized Skills Test exercises, vehicle control, proper reference points, backing, positioning, and other range skills
Students receive hands-on road instruction designed to build confidence operating a commercial vehicle in real-world traffic.
We work on areas such as turns, intersections, lane positioning, shifting when applicable, speed management, railroad crossings, traffic awareness, and safe commercial vehicle operation.
As test day approaches, we bring everything together and focus on preparing the student for the complete CDL skills testing process.
Our goal isn't just to get someone through the test. We want our students to leave training as safer, more confident and capable commercial drivers
